"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" - John 8:12
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16
"...because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." - Luke 1:78-79
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:4-5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." - John 10:10
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth." - Psalm 139:13-15
"Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his." - Romans 6:3-5
"For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you." - Psalm 71:5-6
"And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.'" - Acts 2:38-39
"Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'" - John 3:5

Faith is a gift from God. Through faith, He opens Faith is a gift from God. Through faith, He opens our hands to receive His gifts, His Word and Sacraments. These gifts uphold our lives by giving us strength, drawing us closer to Him, and filling us with the hope of eternal life.

The relationship between parent and child is one o The relationship between parent and child is one of the most impactful relationships a person has. Parents are our very first neighbors, and from them we learn both our values and identity. Parents are also our first tangible source of love and affection. When this relationship is lacking in love and affection, children face the consequences for the rest of their lives. God did not create the parent-child relationship to be broken; instead, He blessed it. In the Fourth Commandment God tells children to honor their parents, and He tells parents to love and nurture their children. Even though these relationships are marred by sin, God still works through parents to care for children in body and soul. From the love of a parent, children learn how their heavenly Father loves and cares for them. Even if earthly parental relationships are broken, God’s love for us is endless and sacrificial.

Alleluia Christ is risen! Alleluia comes from a He Alleluia Christ is risen! Alleluia comes from a Hebrew word that means “Praise the Lord!” This is a word of adoration, joy, and hope. We express these sentiments on Easter because we have life through Christ because of His resurrection. We no longer fear death; instead, we anticipate the day when we will see our Savior face to face!

Through the cross, Christ has taken all of our sin Through the cross, Christ has taken all of our sin, pain, burdens, and loss onto Himself. He has made our pain His own so that He may one day raise our frail bodies from the dead and give us eternal life.
The theory of Evolution teaches that human life wa The theory of Evolution teaches that human life was an accident formed through a long process of natural selection. One of the natural consequences of this belief is a denial of the sanctity of life and a devaluing of human existence. Life becomes disposable. But the Bible tells us that God created and cares for every human life. In the Garden He created male and female in His image. He gave life to their bodies and souls, sustaining both with the bounty He gave them in paradise. God still creates us today; He forms each one of us in our mother’s wombs, preparing us for faith in Him and service to our neighbors. He also upholds the life of every person through farmers, doctors, families, and more. Most importantly, God created us to be in relationship with Him and calls us to faith by His Spirit. In Him all human life has value now and to eternity.

We are unable to reconcile with God on our own. Si We are unable to reconcile with God on our own. Sin corrupts every part of our bodies, minds, nature, and our world. Only God’s own Son, Jesus Christ, could atone for the sins of the whole world and give life to all. Jesus’ love is boundless and pours over into our lives, making us into members of His holy body.
