"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" - John 8:12
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16
"...because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." - Luke 1:78-79
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:4-5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." - John 10:10
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth." - Psalm 139:13-15
"Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his." - Romans 6:3-5
"For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you." - Psalm 71:5-6
"And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.'" - Acts 2:38-39
"Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'" - John 3:5

The mission of YA For Life is to equip young adults to be Gospel-motivated voices for LIFE. Are you in your 20s or 30s? If so, we want to serve you!

God saw that we could not save ourselves from sin, God saw that we could not save ourselves from sin, so He sent His Son Jesus Christ to give us life. His mercy enables us to show mercy to our neighbors and protect their lives so that they may know the compassion of Christ who upholds our bodies and our souls.

Whether a person is raised by birth parents or ado Whether a person is raised by birth parents or adoptive parents, this person is made in the image of God, redeemed by Christ, and called to faith by the Holy Spirit. This means that their identity, just like every other person, is founded first in God. Identity can be difficult to navigate for an adopted child. He or she may struggle with biological attachments to birth parents and familial love for their adoptive parents. But even though our sinful nature causes us to stress about our identity, God knows us more intimately than anyone else. Psalm 139:13 reminds us how deeply we are known and loved: “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” God has been providing for every person since fertilization. So, whether we are raised by our birth parents or by our adoptive parents, we know that our identity is in God, whose fatherly love is perfect and endless.

God is love and peace. He created the world withou God is love and peace. He created the world without sin so that His Creation might live in safety. Even though our world is now full of sin, God still provides us life and peace. His greatest peace comes from Jesus Christ, who will one day return in glory and raise all believers so that we may live in peace and joy for eternity.

The desire to have and raise children is a good an The desire to have and raise children is a good and godly desire. In fact, the first thing God tells Adam and Eve to do in the Garden is to be fruitful and multiply. But since our world is marred by sin, creating a family can be difficult. Sometimes couples struggle with infertility or are unable to carry a child to full-term. While we pray that infertility and pregnancy difficulties may cease, we trust in a God who abounds with blessings and sometimes chooses to bless in another way. Through adoption, infertile couples (and those who are fertile!) are able to become parents and show both love and mercy to children who need loving homes.. In this way, God works through adoption to build families and provide for children. We pray for children who need homes, for couples and families who can’t wait to adopt, and for the parents who choose to allow their children to be loved by another family.

Christ came down from heaven and fulfilled the law Christ came down from heaven and fulfilled the law for us by living a perfect life and lovingly dying on the cross to give life to all. His love motivates and enables us to love all of our neighbors, even those who disagree with us. Being Gospel-motivated means valuing the life of each person because of Christ’s work for all people.

Many women who are victims of domestic violence fe Many women who are victims of domestic violence feel trapped in the cycle and hesitate to seek help. Why? Because the cycle makes the victim feel as though she is alone, undeserving of help, or obligated to stay in the relationship. These feelings are a horrible consequence of abuse. But the truth is that God has surrounded every person with a network of relief. Healthcare professionals are trained to spot abuse and help. Women’s shelters are readily available to give women a safe place to live while they flee their abuser. And when the woman is safe and ready to move on, therapists help women heal from their trauma. God also provides His Church, through which His people show mercy to those suffering. The Christian church also preaches the Word, which proclaims that Christ has redeemed every person and brings healing to all, especially those who feel hopeless. If you or someone you know needs help breaking the cycle, call Word of Hope at (888) 217-8679.
