"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" - John 8:12
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16
"...because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." - Luke 1:78-79
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:4-5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." - John 10:10
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth." - Psalm 139:13-15
"Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his." - Romans 6:3-5
"For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you." - Psalm 71:5-6
"And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.'" - Acts 2:38-39
"Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'" - John 3:5

But God sent His only Son Jesus so that His death and resurrection could give life to all. God gives us life in Him as a gift! This is not because of our obedience or works, but through Christ alone.

The goal of Critical Race Theory is to equip peopl The goal of Critical Race Theory is to equip people to be “anti-racist” by actively fighting racism while holding the view that white people must recognize and let go of their privilege. Racism and discrimination of any sort are evil sins, and we condemn them. Yet, man’s solutions aren’t always the answer. In fact, Critical Race Theory holds several beliefs that are at odds with God’s Word about life and identity. Rather than elevating one group of people at the expense of others, God has called us to love and serve all of our neighbors sacrificially. No matter our skin tone, we are called to place our needs beneath the needs of others. We find strength in Christ who nourishes us with His Word and His body and blood to serve our neighbors according to our vocations. God has called us to love neighbors of every race through acts of service and life-affirming care. In Him all lives are bought with Christ’s blood and called to His family of love and unity. In this family, He equips us to use our lives to uphold the lives of our neighbors.

But Christ poured out His mercy on us and gave us life and salvation as a free gift, buying us back from our sin, lifting our burdens, and covering us with His own righteousness.

Over 16 million African American babies have been Over 16 million African American babies have been lost to abortion. This is approximately one third of the current African American population in the United States. The loss of one child is astoundingly heartbreaking; the loss of this many lives is an absolute tragedy. Christ desires that all people have life. Being made in the image of God, redeemed by Christ, and called to faith by the Holy Spirit, means every life is important. No group of people should be targeted by abortion or separated from the love of Christ. We pray that women in all communities would hear the life-giving Words of Christ and choose life for their babies.
